The Registered Nurse is a professional caregiver who uses the nursing process to provide patient care for a group of patients for a des! ignated time frame.
DUTIES, ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- E 1. Demonstrates responsibility for professional practice.
- E 2. Communicates relevant information in a manner that is understandable and effective.
- E 3. Shows organizational skills through planning effectively.
- E 4. Utilizes the nursing process on admission and throughout the hospitalization, actively involving the patient and family in age appropriate plan of care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
- E 5. Participates in activities, which promote quality improvement and research in nursing.
- Responsible for the care delivered by other RNs, LVNs, PCAs, Technicians, etc.
- Completion of Associate Degree, Diploma, Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Masters of Science in Nursing.
- Minimum 3 years OB experience req! uired
