The Clinical Applications Specialist (RN) is responsible for the resolution of application issues and supporting NextGen clients, providing a high level of customer satisfaction. The specialist will be expected to work in a team environment, collaborating with team members on function solutions for NextGen's healthcare clients.
Job Description:
Communicate directly with clients, conduct meetings, and manage the client expectations
Analyzes client requirements, procedures, and problems to support software and process solutions that meet customer expectations and NextGenâs operations requirements by performing the following duties:
Provide superior customer service by assisting clients with service issues or complicated situations
Maintain appropriate communication and follow-up with customers t! o keep them updated on resolution statuses.
Maintain ! accurate record of all customer service issues in ticket tracking system, including real-time updates.
Ensure that open customer tickets meet Service Level Agreement targets.
Consult supervisor on customer issues that are not meeting Service Level Agreement targets and any other customer issues that might require escalation or intervention.
Maintain customer confidentiality
Participates in industry and other professional networks to ensure awareness of industry standards, trends and best practices in order to strengthen organizational and technical knowledge
Functional expert in assigned operational area including associated clinical products (CPOE, eMAR, Medication Reconciliation, Pharmacy, LAB), automated systems, tools, policies and procedures
Understands and adheres to client service standards and internal procedures to ensure all work items are completed accurately and all client requests are responded to timely and! appropriately
Works with managers, team members and/or vendors to manage the client support needs and integrations of projects and initiatives
Ensures conformance to project management methodology, quality control standards, and other internal standards, policies and procedures
Creates and/or assists with writing documentation, instructions or procedures
Other duties as may be assigned
Required Skills:
Strong interpersonal skills and customer service skills
Must have demonstrated knowledge of overall clinical roles in a hospital setting
Must have prior experience and demonstrate knowledge of working in a hospital lab, or supporting hospital lab systems
Must have demonstrated analytical, methodical and resourceful approach to problem solving
Ability to multi-task and meet multiple goals and objectives and manage several functions at one time
Highly self-directed with the abi! lity to work independently, plan, prioritize, and organize work
Strong oral and written communication skills
Outstanding customer service skills and focus
Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Desired Skills:
Basic knowledge of the principles and processes of the hospital environment with focus on the nursing and clinical application areas.
Healthcare IT experience
