Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Is assigned by VP of Clinical to function as interim DON in TRISUN Healthcare facilities.
When not an interim will assists Regional Nurse Consultant with facility visits as needed to assess, evaluate and implement facility systems to ensure compliance.
Assists in orientation of DON, ADONâs to TRISUN policies and systems.
Works with facilities to prepare for state and federal surveys.
Participates with facilities during state and federal surveys.
Participates in unannounced Mock Surveys
Upon Request of V.P. participates in IDRâs (Informal Dispute Resolutions) and POC (Plan of Corrections) as needed.
Assists and participates with facility staff in implementing action plans.
Functions as a teacher/trainer to direct care staff to include DONâs, ADONâs, LVNâs, and other staff members on policies, procedures, systems, clinical procedures, and best practices.
Performs chart reviews/audits and uses review as an education opportunity to improve documentation clinically and/or to better support the Medicare and/or Medicaid RUG coverage.
Performs chart reviews to determine if documentation CMS federal and state regulations.
May assist in completion of MDS's in facilities.
Ensures facilities follow company policies and procedures and state and federal regulations.
Assists V.P. of Clinical Services with Risk Management areas as needed.
Communicates with VP of Clinical Services, facility Administrator, RVPâs, Regional Clinical Consultants in all areas of assigned job.

QUALIFICATIONS
Willing to travel across all TRISUN regional areas as assigned.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Hands on, detail oriented.
Clinically Competent to train staff in clinical competencies.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Registered Nurse with a minimum of an Associates Degree in Nursing.
Required: Five (5) years of previous Long Term Care experience as a DON and/or Long Term Care Nurse Consulting.
Previous experience in MDS 3.0 completion.
Preferred experience with Medicare PPS and Texas Medicaid TILE programs.
CPR Certified.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
CurrentState of Texas Registered Nurse (RN)
Good standing in the state registry is required
