Qualifications/Duties Texas Health Presbyterian Plano, a magnet facility, is currently in search of a Operating Room Registered Nurse.
As designated charge nurse for our Surgery Department, the nurse will be accountable and responsible for the coordination of the unit activities, mentor to staff in patient safety practices, provide team members with assistance, supervision and consultation, make patient assignments, clinical knowledge, leadership ability and skills, expert IV skills, strong assessment skills, high degree of motivation, team player with ability to work in a fast paced environment, good communication and customer service skills a must.
Basic Qualifications:The qualified candidates will have:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with an RN Degree
- Texas RN License in good standing
- Certified in Basic Life Support
- Advanced Life Support
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire
- 3 years experience in Nursing as an RN in an acute care setting..
Responsible for efficient schedule flow, managing staff to ensure CQI responsibilities are met, building relationships with all physicians, managing staff (circulators, scrubs, PCT's, anesthesia techs) and assignments, working with outside departments to resolve issues, helping to build teamwork and morale of the O.R. Will work closely with O.R. Manager and Supervisor to assure surgery department runs efficiently and productivity is closely monitored.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years experience in Operating Room Setting
- CNOR desirable
Hours/Schedule:
Will work Monday (0645-2115) Tues through Thursday 1300-2115.
