In collaboration with the Information Technology department and application vendors, leads the selection, implementation of information technology in a clinical setting. Designs, develops, and i! mplements new or enhanced clinical and business office workflow in support of information systems and technology. Provides onsite support to users. Performs application administration duties as appropriate.

POSITION KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Analyzes current clinical and business office processes, suggests improvements, and collaborates in the selection and implementation of new clinical systems to improve or enhance processes. Working with clinical project sponsor, prepares business cases including cost/benefit analysis for proposed processes and technology. Assesses how well application(s) are meeting the varied needs of the user community and recommends and implements approved changes in process, procedures and interfaces when appropriate. Ensures that the system owner understands their role and responsibilities and ensures that expectations are appropriately met. Provides end user training and support for the clinical processes and applications. Evaluate! s application upgrades to determine applicability. Develops an! d executes upgrade plans. Develops test plan and performs QA functions consistent with software design methodology and ensure successful implementation of the changes, upgrades or enhancements. Develops and tests disaster recovery and business continuity plans appropriate for clinical application(s). Monitors, evaluates and troubleshoots clinical application(s) functionality to ensure optimal system configuration. Implements and administers application security in accordance with best practices, UT, State and Federal regulation. Communicates with clients, information technology and co-workers via oral and written communications including presentations. May lead project teams. Other duties as assigned

CERTIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
In-depth knowledge of the clinical and business office environment

Experience with several relevant clinical applications including EMR, e-prescribing, patient portals, scheduling, billing, etc.

Solid understanding of! software implementation processes and project planning

Solid understanding of process change management in a clinical environment

Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills

MINIMUM EDUCATION:
Bachelors degree in Nursing preferred.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
Five years of clinical experience .Prefer experience in implementation, support and administration of information technology in a clinical environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
