EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full T! ime
HOURS: Monday - Friday 12:30 - 8:30 p.m. with Saturday rotation at OrthoNow OI every other week
DRIVING CATEGORY: Driver

JOB SUMMARY: This is a hands-on clinical position with responsibility for oversight of the daily operations and general management of the provider's clinical practice.

SUPERVISOR: Director of OrthoNow

DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Interaction with administrative and clinical staff including front desk, medical records, nursing, and ancillary services (when applicable) to ensure maximum utilization of resources and the efficient delivery of services.
  • Assists provider to ensure clinic runs smoothly, on time and prepares patients to see the provider at their scheduled appointment.
  • Enters surgical/clinical charges into Athena, or directs charge tickets to reception specialist when appropriate.
  • Coordinates scheduling of patients tests, en! suring follow-up appointments after the tests are scheduled.
  • Documents patient phone calls, refill messages and has them signed off by provider.
  • Manages clinical risk issues for provider/patient.
  • Assists in responding to patient calls with other team members in a timely and professional manner.
  • Monitors patient flow to ensure appropriate utilization of time.
  • Monitors and works “Hold” buckets on Athena Dashboard, assists Professional Reimbursement Department on resolving open claims.
  • Reviews and handles patient problems and complaints from patients, vendors, and staff members.
  • Analyzes average patient wait times and addresses the issues and provides a solution to the provider and staff members.
  • Communicates with staff and provider on a regular basis to ensure quality of service and needs by the physician and patients are successfully met.
  • Ensures regulatory compliance and reports any issues to Clinical Services Manager as they arise.
POSI! TION REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent. Must be a Certified Medical Assistant or other related certification.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of two years clinical experience with supervisory responsibility.

SKILLS: Must have clinical knowledge. Familiar with automated practice management systems such as Athena. Must be familiar with health insurance benefits.

ABILITIES: Must demonstrate strong leadership and effective communication skills. Must have excellent planning, organization and managements skills. Ability to multi-task, works in a fast-paced work environment, and demonstrates team cooperation is required.

OTHER: Other duties to be assigned as necessary and may vary at times, as needed by your immediate supervisor or as directed by the company.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS: Requires prolonged standing, sitting, stretching, and some bending. ! Requires eye hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to opera! te a keyboard, photocopies, telephone, and other equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate appropriate information to patients and team members. Normal but fast-paced work environment.
