The University of Texas Medical Branch is currently seeking a passionate and professional Physical Therapist with a commitment to providing qual! ity and compassionate patient care to join the Acute Care team in our Rehab Services Division. Job Description:
In this role, you will direct the evaluation, development, coordination and implementation of physical therapy interve! ntion to patients in order to maximize each patient's function! al ability and serve as a patient advocate assuring the delivery of physical therapy meets legal, ethical and institutional standards while adhering to the philosophy, objectives, policies and procedures of the department and organization.

Specific Job Related Duties
Evaluates potential of patient to derive benefit from physical therapy services.
Consults with physicians regarding patient evaluation and treatment programs.
Plans and administers treatment programs.
Sets priorities in patient treatment.
Initiates plans for post-hospital physical therapy care of patient.
Participates in rounds with physicians.
Participates in clinic management decisions.
Evaluates performance of personnel assigned to unit.
Assists in training! support personnel.
Initiates and/or participates in specific research endeavors of the clinic.
Adheres to internal controls established for department.

Min Qualifications

We are open to considering candidates from new PTs to those with several years of experience for this opportunity. At the minimum, a Master's degree in Physical Therapy or equivalent in related field is required. Some professional clinical experience is preferred, but we are considering candidates at all levels.

Must be licensed or eligible for license in the State of Texas.
