Provides direct patient care to neo! nates through geriatric patient

populations. Addresses the psychosocial, physical and general a

pects of care related to the surgical environment. Communicates

with surgeon and anesthesiologist continuously and as needed about

patient condition. Assist with maintenance of surgical equipment

and inventory. Participates in performance improvement activities.

Assesses operating room for equipment functioning and readiness,

obtains supplies for individual cases and ensures all appropriate

needs of surgical team are met. Monitors, positions and assists

patient during procedure.

Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

SHIFT: 8:00am-4:00pm +call (4 days & 1 weekend/month)

Licensure/ Certification/ Registration:
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas is required. Current BLS and ACLS certifications required. Applicants without AC! LS will be considered for employment with the understanding th! at they must obtain these certifications within 4 months of employment.

Education:
Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing is required.

Experience:
3 years experience in Operating Room circulating required.

Special Qualifications:
Successfully completes general nursing and O.R. orientation. Must have effective communication skills, both oral and written. Computer skills and the ability to work with others within a team to ensure quality patient care. Strong problem solving and customer service

skills.
