Job Details:
- Associate's Degree
- RN Required
- 1 year of experience required
The Registered Nurse in GI Lab is responsible for the nursing activities related to care of the patient Pre/Intra/Post Endoscopy or Gastroenterology procedure. Must be able to function in a high volume, fast paced environment. Must be flexible in assignments. Critical thinking skills, strong interpersonal communication & customer service skills, a positive attitude and strong work ethic are essential. ERCP and EUS experience a plus.
Job Summary:
Utilizes the nursing process to ensure quality patient care is provided throughout the episode of care.
Provides a therapeutic environment through safe, accurate, and timely medication and IV administration.
Communicates to the team, co-workers, patients, and family members and evaluates understanding of informational manner.
E! nsures complete, accurate, and timely written communication of! patient information.
Assumes responsibility for the nursing components of the patient/family/significant other educational process.
Education
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
BSN is highly encouraged
Licenses and/or Certifications (Required and Preferred)
Current license to practice professional nursing in the state of Texas or eligibility to do so required.
Current CPR certification required.
