Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities, include but are not limited to:
1. Follows policies, procedures, goals and objectives for perioperative nursing care according to accepted ASPAN, SGAT and AORN Standards.
2. Plans, implements and evaluates care for patient based on individual, specific patient needs and according to physician orders.
3. Documents care appropriately and fully.
4. Maintains and demonstrates current skills and knowledge of intravenous therapy, medication administration and effects, patient assessment, airway management, patient teaching, emotional/social support of patients and families, and other needed clinical competencies.
5. Assists with management and monitors patient during endoscopic procedure, ERCP, Colonoscopy and EGD.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION, TRAINING and EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Current Texas Registered Nursing Li censure
Current CPR, ACLS, and P! ALS
Previous Endoscopy Experience
Minimum 2 ! Years Experience
Understands aseptic technique
Excellent communication and organization skills
