Nurse III (ICF-ID) Nurse III (ICF-ID) Maintain a regular and predictable schedule. Completes inspection/survey reports listing deficiencies and prepares written reports supporting the actions and remedies recommended. Conducts exit conference s with facility staff regarding findings and may assist in developing a plan to correct deficiencies. Conducts certification surveys, licensure inspections, or investigations in facilities to determine compliance with federal and state regulations. Performs quality assurance reviews of documents or materials prepared by others (for example, publications, assessments, reports). Communicates on an intermediate level with other (internally or externally) to provide, exchange, or verify information, answer inquiries, address issues, or resolve problems or complaints. Testifies at hearings or in court proceedings to provide information regarding policy/procedures, history, findings, or activities. Leads review teams responsible for evaluation compliance with agency, state, or federal requirements. Provides orientation or training to staff, providers, other agency staff, or the public on processes or procedures. Utilizes professional expertise and specializes in the following disc ipline: Nursing surveyor.

Knowledge of nursing principles and acceptable professional standards of patient care. Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and regulations. Must be able to multi-task and track multiple activities with competing priorities. Ability to work independently. Ability to exercise professional judgment and reach sound decisions. Ability to learn, remember, and integrate complex concepts, difficult procedures, or complicated processes. Ability to use various computer programs. Ability to perform as a team member and leader.

Registration or Licensure Requirements:
Must be licensed to practice as a registered nurse by the Texas B oard of Nurse Examiners or a state that recognizes reciprocity through the Nurse Licensure Compact. Must successfully complete state and federal training and become qualified to conduct surveys independently in the ICF/IID program within the first 12 months of employment.

Initial Selection Criteria:
Experience in a Long Term Care Regulatory program preferred. One year experience as a practicing registered nurse working directly with persons with intellectual /developmental disabilities/related conditions. Preferred experience explaining and interpreting or overseeing compliance with state and federal licensure regulations and standards

Additional Information: Additional Information: The monthly salary offer for applicants outside of the HHS Enterprise is $4412.40. Must be able to work hours other than 8AM to 5PM, Monday through Friday, as necessary. Job requires 85% travel. Re quires some overnight travel and some weekends. Must have reliable transportation. This position has a one (1) year probationary status.
