The El Paso First RN Case Manager II assists with coordination of care to promote the highest level of physical, psychological, and social functioning possible for members and their families.! The RN Case Manager II position manages a wide range of medical specialties including but not limited to Obstetrics/Gynecological, Neonatal, Medical/Surgical, Chronic Conditions, and children with special healthcare needs.

Required Skills

1. Clinical expertise.
2. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills required as demonstrated by past job experience.
3. Strong analytical, data management and computer skills.
4. Able to work with people of all social, economic, and cultural backgrounds.
5. Flexible, open-minded and adaptable to change.
6. Understanding of pre-acute and post-acute venues of care and community resources.
7. Strong organizational and time management skills, as evidenced by capacity to prioritize multiple tasks and role components.
8. Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment in interactions with physicians, payors, and patients/families.
9. Computer and typing skills! required.
10. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.!

Required Experience

A. Work Experience:
One year of professional nursing experience required, preferably in a critical care area. Previous experience as a case manager preferred. Clinical experience in the case management area applying for preferred.

B. License/Registration/Certification:
Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas.
CCM and CPUR preferred.

C. Education and Training:
Associate''s degree in Nursing, BSN preferred..
