Description: Forest Park Medical Center Dallas is hiring Registered Nurse - Operating Room right now, this occupation will be placed in Texas. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the operating room and other areas of perioperative ! services for all patient populations. Supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization. Reports to the Operating Room Manager. Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Registered Nursing BSN preferred. Experience and Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years RN experience in an OR acute care hospital setting preferred. Knowledge of AORNs Perioperative Standards and Recommended Practices Excellent verbal/written communication and customer services skills. Demonstrates emotional maturity and ability to function effectively when under stress. Licenses/Certificates: Current license as a registered nurse in the state of Texas Upon hire must have current BLS certification Will obtain ACLS and PALS certification within 90 days of hire. CNOR preferred Must complete/maintain required annual competencies per hospital policy. 3. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Plans, implements and evaluates the delivery of nursing care during assigned shift. Delegates care to non-nursing staff! as appropriate. Works with members of the medical staff to en! sure that the medical plan of care is implemented and collaborates with physicians to alter plan of care as needed. 2. Maintains patient confidentiality at all times. 3. Is cognizant of and maintains appropriate standards of infection control, safety and quality in the provision of patient care. 4.
