Location: Dumas Texas

Description: Moore County Hospital District is at the momment seeking for Nursing Infomaticist right now, this career will be placed in Texas. The nursing Infomaticist will serve as the primary Clinical Information resource in the documentation, implementation, design, build, and maintenance of MCHD's Meditech clinical platforms, p! roviding necessary clinical knowledge and information for the accurate build of the system. The Nurse Infomaticist will report directly to the Chief Nursing Officer, and will take project direction from the IT Project Manager.

EDUCATIONAL/ EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
BS in Nursing or equivalent degree is required. Masters degree in Nursing or Clinical informatics is preferred. RN with minimum of 5 years experience in a clinical setting. At least 3 years of nursing background including hospital setting or medical practice. Leadership experience preferred. Experience with data analysis, data management associated with systems evaluation, clinical research, and analysis tools and methodologies. Experience in Medical Documentation requirements necessary. Certification in Nursing Informatics through ANCC is desired.

LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Current Texas RN license or RN Compact licensure. Current CPR certification.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge of JCAHO accreditation ! process. Knowledge of National Patient Safety Goals. Ability to assist in writing project specifications from departments descriptions and current processes, linking programming to related to CPT codes and charge codes as applicable, consistent with current evidence based practice and MCHD policies. Ability to work with members of the project team, IT department staff, and other project team members to assist with the development of interface mapping specifications. Ability to analyze CPT & ICD coding and provide recommendations to improve clinical processes and provide updates to the Information Technology Staff. Assist in beta-testing new system applications and other special assignments as directed, seeking feedback from clinical areas in a systematic way.
