Position responsible for providing direct patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse, utilizing the clinical and cognitive skills specified in the RN/LVN Skills Inventory record, including specialized and expanded skills, exhibiting broad nursing knowledge and an ability to manage and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patient served. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development as it relates to the different life cycles.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Graduate of a school of vocational nursing.
2. Current State of Texas license/permit to practice vocational nursing.
3. Certified in Basic Life Support.
4. Minimum 2 years long term care/skilled nursing facility/rehab experience as an LVN; has acquired skills related to specific specialties.
5. Must have knowledge of CMS regulations for long term care
