We are looking for a RN Clinic Coordinator to join our team in the Texas Fetal Center area!
RN Clinic Coordinator Medical Center Responsibilities:
Patient triage, coordinating and attending clinics, calling pharmacy for medication refills, obtaining lab results, scheduling surgeries, and arranging for nursing care. Patient population is primarily vascular cases. Prepare patients for and assist physicians with treatments and examinations. Perform vitals and basic demographic and history information. Set-up examining rooms, administer injections and medications as directed by physicians and maintain records. Manage, supervise, and coordinate in partnership with the front office coordinator and medical director. Directly supervises 2 to 5 employees. Receive and facilitate referrals in and outside of the network. Gather all test results and clinical notes needed for physicians Contact referred patient to schedule clinic visit Notify clinic staff of visit, and diagnosis for scheduling and insurance verification Schedule pre-testing to be done, if needed, before clinic visit After consult, schedule surgery or procedure as necessary. Instruct patients on pre-surgical appointments, necessary testing and any questions regarding surgery. Provide surgery dates, anesthesia clinic dates, and insurance pre-authorization information for certification of surgery For post-op clinic patients, suture removal, and occasional lab orders Fax clinic notes to patients primary care physician Ensure all appropriate paperwork is filled out and ready prior to the day of surgery for each patient. Ensure the proper ordering of all administrative and medical supplies. Triage possible emergencies as they present themselves at the office and assist in said emergencies when necessary. Compile and analyze reports as required Maintain Compliance in JCAHO and OSHA standards. Orient new staff. Attend monthly meeting with Medical Directors, physicians and clinical staff to address clinical issues and concerns.
Requirements:
One to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and the internet. Knowledge of Allscripts and lDX preferred but not required Texas State Board Certified Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse. Current CPR. Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred
