Centra Healthcare Solutions is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to work as the Manager of the Post Sur! gical Unit that is licensed or in the immediate process, and qualifies, of obtaining RN licensure in this respective state to work in the specialty area of the Post Op.
We are in search of a Nurse Manager to add to our team on the Post Surgical Unit. The Nurse Manager reports to the Director of Acute Care Services and will provide overall direction for over 65 employees, 24 hour accountability and budgetary responsibility for the unit. We are looking for a dynamic and accountable individual with excellent people skills especially in the area of Physician relations. The manager will take an active role in project management and process improvement and will identify opportunities to integrate evidence based practice/research findings and improve patient care and quality. The Nurse Manager will be responsible for managing daily operational activities focused on patient satisfaction, recruitment, retention and staff development. We desire a strong communicative leader with ! experience in transition who is innovative, a visionary, motiv! ator and mentor who will foster a culture of accountability.

Requirements include:
Must have graduated from an accredited school with a Bachelor?s Degree in Nursing required. Masters in Nursing or related degree required.
Current state license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or willing to obtain licensure in another state, assuming that all pre-requisites have been satisfied.
CNOR required.
Current CPR certification.
Current BLS and ACLS card.
3 years of RN experience in acute care setting.
Progressive Leadership or Management experience in an acute care setting preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for development of strategic and tactical plans to maximize the effectiveness of Cardiovascular and pulmonary services.
Continue to develop product line and expand the business.
Assesses patient needs, signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient's condition
Utilizes the ! nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care
Collects, analyzes, and interprets data and information from health care members and documents actual and/or potential nursing diagnoses.
Documents the patient's plan of care using identified nursing diagnoses, expected patient outcomes, and selected nursing interventions.
Provides a safe, comfortable and therapeutic patient environment.
Initiates and evaluates patient and/or family education.
Revises and documents the plan of care according to evaluation, changes in medical plan of care, and effective/ineffective nursing interventions.
Monitors the safety and effectiveness of the environment and equipment.
