- BLS Healthcare Provider Required
- Must maintain current Texas State Registration
EXPERIENCE: Experi! ence in mental health field or equivalent education/academic preparation required.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: BLS required-Obtained through approved American Heart Association Training Center or the Military Training Network. Non-Violent Crisis Intervention - within 1 year of date of hire or transfer date into unit.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have eye/hand/foot coordination, finger/fine dexterity and be able to handle/grip/squeeze and perform repetitive activity and demonstrate speed movement/velocity. Must be capable of transferring-vertical/horizontal, lifting/carrying greater than 35 pounds with assistance and be able to push/pull, stoop/bend, kneel, walk, sit, crouch/squat, flex/position/twist, stand, hold, restrain, and reach.
SUMMARY: Under close supervision of a licensed nurse, assists nursing to improve and maintain the emotional and physical health of the psychiatric patient(s). Performs nursing care activities under the! supervision and/or direction of the Director, Clinical Manage! r, Coordinator, Charge Nurse or Staff Nurse. Participates in the milieu therapy program under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
