About Vidant Medical Center
Vidant Medical Center is a fully accredited, 900+ bed regional referral facility encompassing a Level-1 Trauma Center and extensive inpatient and outpatient services including intensive and intermediate care, pediatrics, bariatrics, obstetrics, and gynecology, surgery, pain management and psychiatry.
Regional Rehabilitation Center Overview
Our 7! 5- bed inpatient rehabilitation center boasts 11 CARF accredit! ed programs. We are the only rehabilitation center in eastern NC with specialty units for General/Stroke Rehabilitation, Pediatrics, Traumatic Brain Injury, and Neuro/Spinal Cord Injury . We offer an interdisciplinary approach to patient care and encourage patient family focused care.
We have been nationally recognized by the Rehab Management Journal as "Best of 2012 and 2013 Rehab Facilities"
Responsibilities
Delivers direct, quality patient care, utilizing a basic clinical skill level and knowledge base. Provides proficient, age specific, professional nursing skills in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the nursing care for assigned patients in accordance with legal, hospital practice and departmental policies and procedures, established standards of nursing care and practice, and as defined by the state of North Carolina. Participates in Quality Improvement Activities. Attends educational programs and staff orientation which promotes personal a! nd professional development.
Minimum Requirements
Current RN licensure in the state of North Carolina or temporary North Carolina licensure or meet requirements to hold RN licensure in a compact state.
This rehabilitation position requires minimum of 6 months experience as RN . New grads should apply for Staff Nurse - New Grad Residency Program if being posted.
Current BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) required.
Preferred Requirements
Prior RN experience in Rehabilitation, Skilled Care Facility, or Medical Center setting.
Other Information
Position is full time 36 hours per week. (three 12 hr shifts). It is for nights 7p - 7a with weekend rotation.
Base pay is $21.00 hr. Experienced RNs will have offers based on total years of related RN work experience.
