Centra Healthcare Solutions is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to work as the Director of Emergency Services that is li! censed or in the immediate process, and qualifies, of obtaining RN licensure in this respective state to work in the specialty area of the Emergency Room.
The Department Nurse Director shall oversee and guide nursing and clinical employees that are hired for their department. Responsible for interacting with hospital staff, patients, families, visitors, and/or ancillary departments regarding patient care, concerns and conflicts by identifying and assisting resolution. Responsible and accountable for maintaining performance skills of their employees, assuring regulatory and accreditation readiness, and maintaining staff schedules, payroll, orientation, staff meetings, policies, performance improvement, and is accountable for budget compliance and budget variance. Routinely works week days, but may need to support staff at other times when necessary. This position summary contains the most basic duties and does not exclude other assignments not mentioned.

Requirements include:
Must have graduated from an accredited school.
Current state license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or willing to obtain licensure in another state, assuming that all pre-requisites have been satisfied.
Current CPR certification.
BLS, TNCC, ACLS, PALS OR ENPC AND NRP required
4 years of previous RN experience
3-5 yrs previous management experience
Duties and Responsibilities
Assesses patient needs, signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient's condition
Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care
Collects, analyzes, and interprets data and information from health care members and documents actual and/or potential nursing diagnoses.
Documents the patient's plan of care using identified nursing diagnoses, expected patient outcomes, and selected nursing interventions.
Provides a safe, comfortable and therapeutic patient en! vironment.
Initiates and evaluates patient and/or family education.
Revises and documents the plan of care according to evaluation, changes in medical plan of care, and effective/ineffective nursing interventions.
Monitors the safety and effectiveness of the environment and equipment.
